About the folio
Richmond Park is 900 metres from our little house in North Kingston. To say we are lucky to have such a resource, so close to where we live, must be one of the greatest understatements of my lifetime.
We locals understand how lucky we are.
The park is a top UK site for ancient trees, and supports a range of rare species including fungi, birds, beetles, bats, grasses and wildflowers.
Richmond Park has protected status as an important habitat for wildlife and is a National Nature Reserve. It is London’s largest Site of Special Scientific Interest and a European Special Area of Conservation.
I am often to be found running the paths and trails, or walking with J,o across its vast expanse. I always carry a camera to capture its beauty and majesty.
You can find out much more about Richmond park here.
I hope you enjoy viewing the images – Colin
