dappled light and gentle breeze...
Updated: Mar 4
I thought I'd post Cody in Richmond Park today. The weather has been overcast here, and I have been stuck in the house, so I thought I'd brighten up the day with this shot Cody, a friend of mine, at the top of Broomfield Hill. She was sitting under an oak tree as saw the cyclists struggling up the hill and found it quite amusing. I took the opportunity to snap this whilst she was distracted.

Pixel Peepers' Notes & Newbie Hints & Tips:
Sony A7R III FE 85mm F1.4GM 250th f2.0 ISO100
Firstly let me dispel the old chestnut that the 85mm f1.4GM is not a sharp lens.
When used in conjunction with the A7RIII it is painfully sharp.
Take the image above. It looks heavily retouched on the face, which it is not. In fact, I have tried to soften it so that I can represent it at this size. I have added a 1:1 - 100% image to show you how sharp it is when you enlarge of small portion of the frame. The skin is still blended, but in the direct sunlight the sharpness is painful. I have filled the shadows with a half gold reflector
This close up really highlights the sharpness that is rendered by the lens and sensor. I could easily sharpen this with unsharp masking but it's simply not required.
