Some of the oak trees in Richmond Park are over 750 years old. This one is enclosed by a fence, I’m not sure how old it is? Looking truly majestic in the cold misty conditions.
I’ve always though that, as a nation, we miss the essential beauty that is rendered by our overcast skies.
Jo and I were walking and shooting in Richmond Park this evening and, as is not unusual, the sky was overcast. The sun was setting, giving a muted colour palette as it stretched across the sky.

I thought you might like to see a snap from our walk in the park last Sunday. The early autumn has just started to turn the leaves brown as the sun peeked through the branches and the young deer were feeding in the shade of the oak.
